Stafford Subsidized Loans Must be enrolled minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. FAFSA and Loan Application Up to $2,625 first year; $3,500 second; $5,500 third/fourth years. Repayment begins 6 months after student is no longer enrolled in at least 6 hours. Government pays interest during in-school period.
Stafford Unsubsidized Loan Must be enrolled minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. FAFSA and Loan Application Up to $4,000 first/second year; $5,000 third/fourth year for independent students. Repayment begins 6 months after student is no longer enrolled in at least 6 hours. Interest begins accruing upon enrollment.
Parent Loans (PLUS) Parent of dependent undergraduate student. Loan Application Varies Repayment begins upon second disbursement of loan (usually in January).
Work Study Need-based, 5-20 hours per week. FAFSA and RBC Student Employment Application $5.25/per hour. Most students work 6-8 hours per week.

Barnabas Scholarship Encouragement for students who must overcome challenging or difficult circumstances to pursue Bible College education. RBC Scholarship Application and FAFSA $1,000 per year for four consecutive years. Limited number of awards. Must maintain 2.5 GPA for continued eligibility.
Alumni Dependent Scholarship For children of 2-year and 4-year graduates from Roanoke Bible College. RBC Scholarship Application $1,000 per year for four consecutive years.  Total value:  $4,000. Must maintain 2.5 GPA for continued eligibility.
Bible Bowl Participation Minimum of three years participation in Bible Bowl. Bible Bowl Participation Form One time award of $500 Request from financial aid office.
NACC Bible Bowl Tournament Scholarships Top placement in Individual Achievement Test, Round Robin and Double Elimination Tournaments. Documentation of Placement Varies - Quarter- to Half-tuition; for two to four years. Must maintain 3.0 GPA for continued eligibility.
RBC Bible Bowl Tournament Scholarships Top placement in Individual Achievement Test, Round Robin and Double Elimination Tournaments. Documentation of Placement Varies - Quarter- to half-tuition; for two to four years. Must maintain 3.0 GPA for continued eligibility.

Convention Talent Scholarships Top placement in individual talent competitions at specific Christian conventions (state, regional and national). Documentation of Placement Varies - Quarter- to Half-tuition, for two to four years Must maintain 2.5 GPA for continued eligibility.
Spouse Scholarships Spouse of a full-time student. FAFSA Full tuition, up to the number of hours paid for by the other spouse. Must maintain 2.5 GPA for continued eligibility.
Senior Citizen Scholarships Adults 55 years of age or older. FAFSA 40% tuition discount. Account must be paid in full upon registration.

Eakes Scholarships Students enrolled in cross-cultural, preaching ministry, and youth ministry. RBC Scholarship Application 10 annual awards of $3000 each. Criteria includes students who best represent the college.
Foundation Scholarships Specific criteria vary with each scholarship (i.e., need, location, major or career goals). FAFSA and RBC Scholarship Application $50 -$1,500 53 Foundation Scholarships were awarded in the 2002-2003 school year for a total of $35, 140.
Work Study Any student FAFSA and RBC Student Employment Application $5.25 per hour. Most students work 6-8 hours per week.

FEDERAL AID

The filing document for federal aid is the FAFSA [RBC’s FAFSA School Code is 014101] (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
Priority FAFSA filing date for all federal funds is March 15 of each year for the following school year.
Students must be degree- seeking to be eligible for any federal aid.

INSTITUTIONAL AID

Students must submit their application for admission before being considered for RBC aid.
Priority filing date for RBC Scholarship Application is March 15 of each year for the following school year.
